    Padel emerged in Mexico at the end of the 1960s. This sport was quickly exported to Spain and Argentina and, later, to all the countries of South America. Padel is currently the second most practiced sport in Spain, surpassed by football but ahead of tennis! There are 8 million practitioners worldwide.

    The match pits 2 players against 2 others (in pairs). Regarding the service, there are 2 balls allowed and this is done diagonally and from below. One bounce is allowed. The ball must bounce before hitting any part of the court. A ball must be hit against a wall after the bounce (only against the wall and not against the metal net). The ball may go out of the court after the bounce and may be caught outside the court. Points are calculated as in tennis.
